The Datejust 41mm may not be the Rolex collection known for fetching six-figure sums at auctions, but it’s the beloved and timeless Datejust that has truly defined the brand’s enduring popularity. The Datejust is often the only timepiece many people ever desire.
In 2009, Rolex introduced the Oyster Perpetual Datejust II, featuring a larger 41mm case diameter (excluding the crown) compared to the original Datejust.
In 2016, the Rolex Oyster Perpetual Datejust 41 made its debut. It offers a wide choice of bracelets. They are made from stainless steel, two-tone stainless steel, 18k yellow gold, and 18k Everose gold. The 2016 Datejust 41mm watch can be paired with either the Oyster or Jubilee bracelet. The Datejust 41 distinguishes itself with smaller indices and a slimmer bezel.
Notably, Rolex introduced the new Caliber 3235 movement in the same year. They replaced more than 90% of the components of the enduring and highly productive Caliber 3135. Caliber 3235 boasts a 70-hour power reserve while maintaining the same proportions as its predecessor. It introduces the Chronergy escapement and other significant advancements.
Today, the Datejust 41 is available in various metal combinations and ranging in size from 28mm to 41mm. With an array of dial, bezel, and bracelet options, the Datejust collection ensures there’s a suitable Rolex Datejust for nearly every wrist size and aesthetic preference.
